Terre Nere Etna Rosso 20242024 is shaping up in our tastings to be a banner year in Sicily, which is a welcome change from the challenges of 2023. The nose is excellent with a core of pomegranate, cocoa nib, cranberries, amaro like bitter orange, dried cherry, black pepper, and a beguiling volcanic minerality. Nice coat but packaging needs to be improved. It arrived not properly folded and as a result it was completely wrinkled. Took some work to iron so it looked as advertised. Packaging for such things has to be reviewed.
