PEYCHAUD'S BittersPeychaud's Bitters, distributed by the American Sazerac Company, traces its roots back to the creative mind of Antoine Amde Peychaud, a Creole apothecary from the former French colony of Saint Domingue (now Haiti). In the years spanning 1849 to 1857, Peychaud crafted these bitters after his arrival in New Orleans, Louisiana, around 1793. Setting them apart from Angostura bitters, Peychaud's version is based on gentian with a distinctive aroma of anise
